Harbor Financial Group is a full service mortgage broker.  We are locally owned and operated and have built an excellent reputation since our inception in 2003.  Our experienced, well trained loan consultants are dedicated to meeting the needs of Hawaii's home owners.

Whether you are buying a new home, refinancing an existing home, building a new home, or are in need of financing for commercial property, our people can help you. 
If you are a real estate agent, you can rely on our specialists to take your client through the loan approval process to th e close of escrow, leaving you free to concentrate on your next deal.  And, like a Realtor, we don't get paid unless loans close, so we have an incentive to help you make it happen.

The main advantage of working with a mortgage broker, as compared to a bank loan officer is that the bank employee has only one menu of loan programs and rates, whereas we can access many different ones, and, in effect, do your shopping for you.   We represent major local banks, and we also have many other financing sources, who often have a substantial pricing advantage.

We are members of the National Association and Hawaii Association of Mortgage Brokers, and most of our consultants complete continuing education courses to qualify for the Lending Integrity Seal of Approval, evidence of a high level of ethical and professional standards, knowledge of regulatory matters and product knowledge.

We never charge a fee for a consultation, so we advise you to meet with one of our friendly loan originators, talk over your intentions, and let us advise you on the likelihood of approval and the price of the financing.  If it makes sense, we'll help you to get it done.

Harbor Financial Group Leadership

The Harbor Financial Group has been managed by Ravi Shivaraman since January of 2008.  For the prior seven years, Ravi worked in various capacities in the mortgage industry.  Ravi sees his major role as providing managerial and  operational support to his highly experienced team of Mortgage Loan Originators.  He earned three Masters Degrees from Hawaii Pacific University and is actively involved with HPU's  Alumni Association and several non-profit organizations. 

When it comes to leadership, Ravi agrees with Peter Drucker... "Leadership is lifting a person's vision to higher sights, the raising of a person's performance to a higher standard, the building of a personality beyond its normal limitations."
